July 4!
Independence Day is considered the birthday of the United States as a free and independent country. Most Americans simply call this a holiday at his date - "Fourth of July".
The holiday recalls that on July 4, 1776 Declaration of Independence was signed. At that time, residents of 13 British colonies, which were located along the east coast of today's United States territory, waged war with the English king and Parliament, because we believe that those treated them unfairly. War started in 1775.
During the fighting colonists realized that fighting not just for better treatment, but for freedom from British rule. This was clearly articulated in the Declaration of Independence, which was signed by leaders of the colonies. For the first time in an official document of the colony called the United States of America.
