Frenchman Sebastien Loeb will be out to score Citroen’s eighth successive win in the Rally of Germany this weekend – the final WRC round before the Repco Rally New Zealand at the end of this month.
The German Rally is run on tarmac roads and usually in unsettled weather (a mix of showers and sunny intervals).
“Following our win in Finland, on the home soil of our main rivals [Ford drivers Mikko Hirvonen and Jari-Matti Latvala], we have no intention of letting them strike back on an event that has always been favourable to us,” says Loeb.
“I have tended to enjoy a certain amount of success on the Rallye Deutschland, but it has never been an easy event to win. It has often been a very close run thing.”
