2011 Chrysler 300C.

With its latest generation 2011 Chrysler 300 sedan, Chrysler decided to launch several different variations of the car, each aimed at a very different target market. The hero of the lineup, the Hemi-packing 300 SRT8 (which is actually a 2012 model), is aimed at the luxury and performance end of the market, while the 300S is for the style conscious crowd.
In this latest video clip, our man Joel Feder takes a closer look at the 300C Executive Series, which is designed for the person who wants understated luxury. Not surprisingly, the car comes with an unusual--for an American car--lack of chrome, replaced instead with satin highlights. Inside, there's supple leather trim and real wood surfaces.
Engine options include either Chrysler’s now familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar, rated at 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, or a 5.7-liter Hemi delivering 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque.

2012 Chrysler 300C SRT8.

Looking for evidence that Chrysler is hard at work on a hot-rod version of the flagship 300C? Here’s the smoking gun.
Spy shooters have captured the 300C SRT8 with no camouflage, and details are overwhelming that this is the halo four-door for Chrysler. The test car even has SRT8 badges on the steering wheel and the tachometer.
There also are wheels that look like six-spoke SRT rollers, Brembo brakes and chrome dual exhaust.
Look for the 6.4-liter Hemi V8 in the Charger SRT8 to be used in the 300 sibling. The Dodge is rated at 465 hp and 465 lb-ft, so look for similar output in the Chrysler. Other carryover features likely will include the elaborate 8.4-inch touch screen in the middle and paddle shifters. Also note the heavily bolstered seats and the leather-wrapped steering wheel. A five-speed automatic will complete the powertrain.
The outside is marked by an angrier front fascia, a car grille and athletic rocker panels. The elegant taillight and headlight styles from the regular car are also present.
Chrysler hasn’t announced its New York auto show plans, but we’d be surprised if this hot rod from the Pentastar doesn’t have a spotlight role. And when Dodge boss Ralph Gilles introduced the Charger SRT8 in Chicago, he punctuated the event by planting a kiss on the front fender.

Chrysler 300 Led Taillights. The 300 carries into 2010 with only minor changes to a few trim levels. Side head-curtain airbags are now standard on all trim levels, where once Chrysler charged extra for that protection on the base model. The 300C now carries standard keyless entry and park assist, while heated mirrors are now standard on the Touring model. One change is more significant - Chrysler offered a lifetime powertrain warranty on the 2009 300, but only a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty on the 2010 model. Since there is little difference between the two years, buyers might want to choose a 2009 over a 2010, in order to get the added protection, if they can.
Shoppers who have casually lusted after a 300 for years, but never committed, might want to note that the car is due for a complete, wheels-up redesign for the 2011 model year. We know little about the next 300, but it may well be a model more suited to the times than this one.
